Proof of concept v0.1…

OK, here’s where we are in terms of proof of concept…

  1. There is a thing called lemmas. It has a part of speech and definition.
  2. There is another thing called lists. Each list has a place where you can point it to lemmas.
  3. When you view a list, it expands the details of each lemma.

What you are reading is a regular old post. We’re keeping these around because it’s a good way to communicate what’s going on. You can link to other things from here… for example, I can link to the lemma for puella. Or I can link to the full collection of lemmas that are just hanging out.

Here is the first word list… it dynamically pulls two words, “P&A,” and expands them.

There’s lots of flexibility around formatting and laying out what happens.

First use of a template…

well.

Making “Lists” work…

Pull lemmas, filter by tag…

First post

This post shows that pages can pull data from the lemma table.

Here are all of the lemma items:

amicus has a definition (friend) and a part of speech (noun).

amo has a definition (to love) and a part of speech (verb).

cum has a definition (with, when, since) and a part of speech (conjunction).

duco has a definition (to lead) and a part of speech (verb).

inquam has a definition (to say) and a part of speech (verb).

ipse has a definition (__self) and a part of speech (pronoun).

laetus has a definition (happy) and a part of speech (adjective).

loquor has a definition (to speak) and a part of speech (verb).

mare has a definition (sea) and a part of speech (noun).

puella has a definition (girl) and a part of speech (noun).

pumex has a definition (porous rock) and a part of speech (noun).

Formatting it differently, and filtering for nouns:

amicus (noun): “friend”.

mare (noun): “sea”.

puella (noun): “girl”.

pumex (noun): “porous rock”.

The End.
